Description
“World Laparoscopy Hospital is proud to be the first private hospital in India to introduce the da Vinci robotic surgery system for patient care, and the first in Asia to offer structured, hands-on da Vinci robotic training for surgeons and gynecologists. We provide the Fellowship of the International College of Robotic Surgeons (FICRS), where every trainee works directly on a high-definition da Vinci surgical robot. This training focuses on the real challenges of robotic surgery—instrument control, console ergonomics, docking, and mastering robotic tissue handling. During this program, participants learn robotic techniques used in a wide range of specialties, including foregut surgery, bariatrics, renal procedures, colorectal surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, solid-organ operations, and revisional cases. The da Vinci system gives surgeons unmatched advantages: 3D high-definition visualization, magnification up to 25 times, endo-wrist instruments with a greater range of motion than the human hand, and intuitive robotic motion that follows your natural eye–hand coordination. This makes complex procedures safer, more precise, and more reproducible. All seats for 2023 are full, and registrations are now open for the 2024 sessions. The course fee is 1,75,000 rupees for Indian surgeons and 3,500 USD for overseas participants. There are no extra charges for hospital resources, and working lunch, snacks, tea, and coffee are provided throughout the course. Accommodation is available at subsidized rates in our Pacific Hotel or within the hospital campus. Trainees who combine this program with our Fellowship or Diploma in Laparoscopy will receive a 25% discount on the Robotic Surgery, Endoscopy, or IVF course fees. Eligibility for admission requires an MBBS or equivalent degree, with at least three years of post-registration experience in surgery or gynecology, along with valid medical registration. Overseas doctors must have equivalent qualifications. The online application alone is sufficient for admission. The robotic fellowship is conducted every month from the 17th to the 20th. The training covers: • Operating room setup for da Vinci systems • Patient preparation and positioning • Components and instrumentation of the da Vinci robot • Intracorporeal suturing and knot-tying • Fine dissection techniques • Practical tips for safe and efficient robotic surgery At the end of the program, participants receive the Certificate of Fellowship in Robotic Surgery (FICRS) from the International College of Robotic Surgeons and the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons. The course is directed by Prof. Dr. R. K. Mishra, one of the world’s leading authorities in laparoscopic and robotic surgery, who has trained more than 15,000 surgeons from over 138 countries. Robotic surgery is now one of the fastest-growing areas in gynecology, with applications in fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic prolapse, ovarian tumors, and gynecologic cancers. With proper training, surgeons can perform complex hysterectomies and oncologic procedures through tiny incisions, reducing pain and improving recovery compared to traditional open surgery. If you are ready to upgrade your surgical skills and move into the future of minimally invasive surgery, the Robotic Surgery Fellowship at World Laparoscopy Hospital is the ideal next step. Join us and experience world-class training on the most advanced robotic platform available today.”**
